Koreans must definitely make in impact on tourism, all the countries I have visited I always see a restaurant catering to Korean food. I don't think it's because of the locals desire to try new foods but maybe because many Koreans prefer to stick with their own food. That's a shame if that's the case, as there are so many new delicious foods to try.
Yesterday I had the chance to try some Tibetan bread that was pretty tasty. It was flat like fried dough you would get at a carnival, but it was thick and hearty with some weight to it. It is served with a side of honey or a few other different spreads instead, I went with peanut butter. A flavor explosion in my mouth. I could easily see it as a good bread to take on a trek as it would probably keep well.
Here is my attempt to learn a little bit of Nepalese. Maybe you know some already? Namastae?
What is a bit goofy is that my learn Korean pronunciation helps me to be understood when saying some Nepalese words or names to locals. Though I'm probably still butchering it up quite nicely.
Staying classy in Pokhara. Improvised on what's not put together on the menu.
Today I am looking into trekking information. To trek to even the base camp of Mt. Everest would be unreal, but alas time has its clutch on options and the most realistic route is most likely a short excursion. Maybe Ghorepani Poon Hill.
